Obesity is the problem of having extra count of calories. Genetic fators, behavioral, biological or cultural factors can be the reason of having obesity. The basic reason which is well known is that when you eat more calories as compared to your burnt calories then you put on some weight which is fat that you have got by extra pounds of calories. It is also said that if the parents are obese then the child have high risk of having obesity. Around 50% of child have 1 obese parent are obese too. In any case both the parents are obese, then the chances goes to 80%. Although there may be some medical factors which can result in obesity. What Causes Childhood Obesity?
There are a lot of reasons which are culprits to provide pain to children and also higher the risk of childhood obesity and over weight.
Diet – First and the main cause of problem is unhealthy diet. If you are eating foods which are very high in calories such as fast foods with empty calories then resullt will be extra gain in weight. It is known that high fatty foods are dense in calories. Soft drinks, sweets, candies and desserts are also responsible to make you obese as they have flooded with empty calories.
Less Physical Activity - Children who used to sit ideal most of the time are more likely to have obesity. Waching TV, playing video games, sitting before computers are some of the inactive leisure activities, which can make you obese.
Psyhological Issues - Some of the children used to eat extra food if they are having any kind of problem. It is very general tha people used to eat when they are under stress or feeling bore.
Genetics Factors - If the family have a background of having obesity then the child may be predisposted to get that extra count of calories. Also, particularly in this environment, there is high calorie diet available and also there is no encouragement of doing physical activities.
Socioeconomic Issues - Those children who have low- income background are at the high risk of becoming obese or over weight because the reason is poverty and obesity both walks parallel. Because their parents are not able to provide them healthy and high nutrition foods. So, they eat whatever they get and result is, they ge extra count of calories. They also don’t practice any of the exercise so are obese.
Family Factors - Most of children got attraction from the unhealty, salty, fatty and sweet candies available in the store. So, they spend most of the pocket money over them. All the foods are not healthy and have empty calories in good amount. So, try to teach the children about the eating of high nutrition food and its health benefits.
